Trudy Prikl. Bot. Prilož. 36:128, 332. 1929 ("type - rigidum")
Comment:
Antropov & Antropova did not use the rank of subspecies for this taxon, only the terms "group" or "type" were indicated. There is also some question about their association of the epithet rigidum with the species name sufficient to satisfy Melbourne ICN Art. 35.2. Although it is clear from the context, since S. cereale was used throughout the work for rye, the subject of their book, the species name was not mentioned in the discussion where this epithet is used. A description was provided both in Russian and in English, so this could be considered validly published as an unranked taxon (Melbourne ICN Art. 37.3)
